A Note on Tuition Fees

While most public universities in Germany do not charge tuition fees for Master's programs, all students are required to pay a semester contribution (Semesterbeitrag). This fee, typically between €150-€350, covers administrative costs and often includes a public transport ticket for your city. The state of Baden-Württemberg is an exception, charging non-EU students €1,500 per semester. Always verify the fee structure on the university's official website.
